UPGRIS students from the city of Semarang receive a special scholarship. The scholarship is awarded by the Semarang City Education Office specifically for students who are Semarang residents and have achievements.
“In 2023, a total of 23 students from the city of Semarang directly received scholarships amounting to 6 million rupiahs,” said Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Sapto Budoyo, S.H., M.H., during the scholarship handover on the 2nd floor of the Central Building, 16 May 2023.
Sapto added that many students from Semarang City still who have not taken advantage of this program. “I hope that these scholarship recipients will help spread this information to their younger siblings so that more students will apply,” he said in his speech.
At the same event, the Rector of UPGRIS, Dr. Sri Suciati, M.Hum, motivated the students to make the best use of their time while studying. “During these four years, make every effort to focus on lectures and other supporting activities. Struggling for four years during college will have a tremendous impact after graduation,” she said.
Suciati also added that the scholarship recipients must be able to make the best use of the scholarship, one of which is for college financing so that they can ease the burden on their parents.
The scholarship recipients came from the PAUD study program (1), Management (8), Civil Engineering (2), Biology education (2), Economics education (2), PGSD (3), Law (1), Informatics (2), PJKR (1), PBSI (1), and mathematics (1).
