The achievement for a lecturer is to write scientific articles published in reputable journals. As an academician, through conducting research and publishing scientific articles, lecturers will reach the highest academic level, namely obtaining the title of professor.
“The honor of a lecturer and academician is earned through the publication of scientific articles in reputable journals. If lecturers are able to write articles in international journals, then their expertise will be recognized internationally,” said Prof. Dr. Sucihatiningsih Dian Wisika Prajanti, M.Sc., at the Indexed National/International Journal Article Writing Workshop organized by UPGRIS Institute of Research and Community Services, in 1st floor, B Building, UPGRIS Campus 1 on November 7th, 2022.
UPGRIS Rector, Dr. Sri Suciati, M. Hum. In her remarks, supported this workshop aimed at assisting lecturers to submit articles to reputable journals. “This workshop is mainly aimed at lecturers so that they can quickly reach professorship positions,” Suci said. Suci added, “With this workshop, lecturers can submit manuscripts to national or international journals.”
Meanwhile, the Director of UPGRIS Institute of Research and Community Services, Dr. Senowarsito, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of this workshop for lecturers. “The university is committed to accelerate professorship for lecturers who have met the requirements. It is hoped that the published articles will be used as output products that are useful for educational world.”
A total of 119 lecturers were present as participants in this event, they consisted of lecturers with doctoral and professor degrees. Another speaker invited were Dra. Lusia Silitonga, M.Pd., Ph.D. This event was moderated by Dr. Arri Handayani, M.Sc.
